Propanesulfonic acid pyridinium salt is a white crystalline powder with a purity of over 99%. PPS, as a starting material for preparing brighteners in Watt bright nickel plating, is an efficient brightener (secondary brightener) and leveling agent. Due to its high purity, PPS does not carry other harmful impurities or salts into the tank solution, and has a long service life without any stretching issues. PPS is usually used in combination with saccharin, one or several acetylene compounds, and wetting agents. This process can make the nickel plating layer particularly bright, flat, and ductile, and is also suitable for electrolytes in non flowing conditions.
