Double decyl dimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) is a light yellow transparent liquid that is easily soluble in water and organic solvents. As a cationic surfactant, it is used as a disinfectant and fungicide in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and civilian use, as well as for moth prevention in woolen fabrics. DDAC is the third generation product of quaternary ammonium salt fungicides, which has high microbial killing ability and can be used for sterilization and algae removal in oilfield water injection and industrial circulating cooling water systems. When stored, it should be sealed to avoid impact and freezing to prevent leakage.
